Hi this is Junming. I’m a PhD student in statistics at UChicago, advised by Prof. Matthew Stephens, working on empirical Bayes matrix factorization, with applications in population genetics and single-cell RNAseq data. I am also working with Prof. Nikos Ignatiadis on empirical Bayes theory and methods. Before coming to Chicago, I worked on direct genetic effect estimation in family-based GWAS designs, supervised by by Prof. Alexander Young and Prof. Dan Benjamin.
